Digital ad-spending from real-time bidding (RTB) is set to reach $7.4 billion and account for 28% of total digital ad-spending in 2016, according to eMarketer.com.

What was once solely used for remnant inventory, real-time bidding (RTB) is now being used for all types of digital advertising – from remnant to premium ads.

And while all advertisers, digital marketers, ad tech companies, and publishers know full well the benefits and advantages RTB offers, not everyone understands how the real-time bidding ad exchange works.

The RTB ad exchange is a complex process, and like with most other complex concepts, the best way to completely understand them is to see them at work. Unfortunately, the RTB ad exchange happens virtually. But don’t fear – we’ve created an infographic to help illustrate the complex RTB ad exchange in the clearest way possible.

Enjoy!
